Inserting eye drops
Putting drops in the eye can be difficult at first but becomes easier with practice. The best way for most patients is to tilt the head back and pull the lower lid away from the eye. This can be done by pulling down with one finger. Try to let the medication fall from the bottle onto the inside of the lower eyelid. Afterwards, close the eyelids and avoid blinking. Blinking causes the medication to flow into your tear ducts. Keep the eyes closed for 3 minutes.
