The Freedom of LASIK
If you are one of the millions of Americans who wear glasses or contact lenses everyday, you have probably already thought about LASIK surgery.
- Imagine the sensation of waking up in the morning and reading the clock without reaching for your glasses or fumbling with contact lenses.
- Picture yourself swimming without any worries about ruining your glasses or getting an infected contact lens.
- Visualize skiing in deep powder without having to stop to polish your fogged spectacles.
- Grab your shades, put the top down, and hit the road without a thought about whether your contact lenses will let you down.
iLASIK Has Arrived
LASIK surgery has been around since 1991, but today’s technology is FAR more advanced than what was previously available. The “i” in iLASIK means that the procedure is done using a combination of the two most advanced technologies available. In fact, the iLASIK procedure has been approved for use on NASA astronauts.
- Intralase: The first step in LASIK is the creation of a corneal flap, which can be done in two ways: with a razor, or with a laser. As you would expect, the laser technique is safer, more comfortable, and 100 times more precise. We use the latest model, the 5th generation “FS” femtosecond laser from Abbot Medical Optics.
- Advanced CustomVue: Conventional LASIK corrects your vision as well as a pair of glasses would. CustomVue is different — by measuring the unique “wavefront” of your eye, the correction delivered is 25 times more precise.
Afraid of traditional LASIK? Consider bladeless iLASIK.
Millions of Americans are less dependent on eyeglasses or contact lenses, thanks to LASIK. However, fear has caused millions more to avoid or postpone experiencing the benefits of LASIK surgery. If you are one of them, Bladeless iLASIK surgery by Dr. Neale may be right for you.
Bladeless iLASIK makes the procedure safer, more precise, and more comfortable than traditional LASIK surgery. Bladeless iLASIK technology has given many of our patients the confidence they need to finally get the vision of their dreams.
